Bangkokpost– An accused assaulter who recorded a video of his clothesless victim and threatened to post it online has been arrested in Hat Yai district. Police on Friday detained Vichai Chaisaena, 26, at a snooker club near his home on charges of assault and robbery . Police said they identified the suspect from the dragon tattoo on his body. It matches the description given by the victim. The woman, whose name is being withheld, is a student at a University in Hat Yai. When taken to the police station to
identify her alleged attacker, she flew at him in a rage.
Police said the woman was attacked on Oct 8. The rapist entered her dormitory room, on the fourth floor, through the window. He threatened her with a knife and removed her clothes. She said she had her period, but the man still forced himself upon her.He recorded a video clip of her body without clothes and threatened to put it online if she filed a complaint with the police. He also took all the money from her purse, a gold necklace and her mobile phone. The suspect denied all charges. Police said they will bring in other victims of similar crimes to see if it is the same man.
